Musical Instruments is proud to profile those that choose to play our
instruments. Current Dean Endorsees can be found playing their Deans' at gigs
all over the world and on their latest recording sessions. In this section we
also feature rockers that just like playing Deans. So without further ado we
present to you...
Originally called Nemhesis having recorded a demo in 1996 under that
name, Arthemis are a power metal band based in Italy. Formed by the shred-Metal
guitarist Andrea Martongelli in 1999. Their music is Heavy Metal with
Thrash-oriented riffs and a massive modern sound, blending soaring vocals and
melodic choruses in the style of Killswitch Engage, with a more traditional
thrash metal style of Metallica.
During their
career Arthemis have released 5 full-length albums for the World Heavy Metal
Market, especially for Japan, where the band have a die-hard crowd of fans
supporting the band since 2001 with their debut album “The Damned
Ship”. The band has also appeared in several Hard Rock / Heavy Metal SKY
TV Shows as “Rock TV Sala Prove”, “Rock TV Database”, and
played for an advertising spot for “Fiat” cars as well. In 2010
Arthemis appeared on the Metal Hammer UK Judas Priest tribute album "The Metal
Forge: Volume 1 - Judas Priest: British Steel", covering "United". Arthemis
is a band with world wide credentials. Having played all over the world and
more recently in the UK in support of their new Album "Heroes" released June
7th 2010.
Andrea Martongelli has been an ambassador for Dean Guitars for
many years and has amassed a large collection of Dean Guitars. He is best
recognised sporting a Dean Cadilac or Splittail guitar. But he is equally
at home on an ML just so long as it says Dean Guitars on the headstock!!!
