 2008 DOA UK 2008 was a resounding success. The quiet sleepy town of Braintree did not know what hit them as over 100 Dean Guitar's fans descended on the Music venue Hogs Bar. Dean Guitar demonstrator Chris Jones of Voodoo Six and 101% Pantera opened the Show with a blistering guitar clinic. Showing us all what A Dean, Dean from Hell guitar is for. Check out Chris playing with 101% Pantera as soon as you can to see what we mean. After the crowd had picked up their jaws from the floor, Pantera 101% gave them a short ripping humdinger of a set. Thanks to Pat, Dylan and Jacko for that! As if that was not enough, DOA UK 2008 was rounded up with a Dean All Stars jam, featuring so top class playing from Dean Owners from all over the UK. The part of the evening that for some was the highlight was the Power Jam. Several Dean Owners got up and let rip on a Dean Caddy for a few bars. This was then judged by Doug Scarratt from the legendary band Saxon. The winner was the guitarist judged most worthy by Doug. Congratulations to James for winning the Dave Mustaine Signature Series V guitar. You deserve it… I remember him pointing to the guitar fret board just before he played and saying "I play here right" while shaking like a leaf, then took the solo like he owned it!! Thanks to all the people who helped put on the first annual DOA UK show, we could never have made it happen without you. Metal Mike, Danny B, Pete TL and Mick Seymour for help setting up. Also the people who helped out on the night, Janet, Jo, Alannah, Xanna and Paul for the venue. The Bass Merchant for the bass rig!
