WOLF was formed in 1995 and to this day, the band has had only one goal: to make kick-ass, honest, grab-you-in-the-nuts heavy metal! After releasing their debut album, “Wolf” back in 2000, the band toured relentlessly and destroyed the major festivals! Dean Guitars UK caught up with the Legend that is Johannes “Axe” Axeman for a bit of Q and A! How did Wolf get started? In -95, Niklas and bass player Mikael longed for a band that sounded like the music they grew up with. The scene at the time was very "90ies" and sucked (of course) so they took matters in to their own hands and -viola!, behold a Metal Monster called WOLF. How does it differ playing to UK fans compared to the rest of the world? Well, UK is home to many bands that in inspire Wolf and we love playing the UK. Audiences around the world are all metal as Hell! But there is a certain glow in the eye's of our UK fans. How long have you been playing Dean Guitars? Since 2005! Since we first played them at a gig in the states I got in touch with Dean guitars USA and they shipped 2 Dean V79's to where were playing. What first attracted you to Dean Guitars, and why is the "V" your favorite shape? We we're looking for something a bit "sharper" than the average V guitar we quickly discovered the quality matched the looks, and beyond so we were hooked. The V shape is the ultimate heavy metal guitar, since its V shaped you can "rest" it on your leg when shredding out! What is next for you guys? We're always booking gigs for so there will be more to come. We're returning to the UK in august for the Bloodstock festival and then for a full UK tour in October!
