The
Nostalgia pickup is a vintage style humbucking pickup great for classic rock
and blues. The moderate output of the Nostalgia makes it a favorite for those
guitarists seeking classic tones with balanced tonal response.
You
can spot a Flathead pickup in a flash by it's double adjustable coils. In
comparison to the Nostalgia series this pickup has a warmer sound and utilizes
an alnico 2 magnet like the original PAF pickups of the 50's. Available both in
neck and bridge models with a slightly higher output in the bridge position.
The Time Capsule series of pickups is what Dean currently uses in
their original TC series guitars. These pickups capture the biting tones of the
vintage Dean instruments produced from 1977 to 1986 with very strong lows and
mids creating the tone that was used to record multiple platinum albums during
this era.
